MiDAS (Mine Vehicle Data Acquisition System)
The Midas system is used to collect data such as time, velocity, acceleration, pitch, roll and other dynamic properties of mining and other large scale vehicles. The rugged pelican case encapsulated the hardware and provides protection from the external environment. The DRS1000 Doppler sensor provides non contact accurate speed measurement and connects to the Isaac data logger via a limo plug. From the data collected, route travel time, inclination readings etc can be used to increase the overall efficiency and safety.
